Peter and Cornelius both had some paradigms that needed to be dealt with... Cornelius was a good man who needed to understand and respond to the good news of Jesus. Peter needed to realize God’s family includes all who place their faith and trust in Jesus, not just people like him.

God’s family has room for people who feel that they are on the outside looking in... God does not show favoritism or prejudices!
