The crucifixion of Jesus on the hill called Golgotha was full of irony... a stranger carried His cross while His disciples ran, He was innocent yet crucified with two criminals, He was mocked as king, while truly being the King of the Universe, one of the criminals was accepted into His kingdom while the religious leaders stood by in judgment and missed it entirely, and while it may have appeared the religious leaders and soldiers were in control, God was truly the one calling the shots. So the question becomes: How do WE respond to HIS sacrifice? What does it mean for us to follow in HIS steps?
