The Garden and Jesus' Surrender

When Jesus went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane he knew that he had been sent to Earth to die for our sins. As he knelt to pray, he asked his Father, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me." But He added this final line, "yet not as I will, but as You will.” Jesus fully submitted himself to his Father's plan. As we follow in HIS footsteps, and do the work we have been called to do, we must also submit fully to the Father's will.
