Our response to the coming of Jesus Christ can be one of faith, or one of fear.

At the end of the eleventh chapter of John we see both of these reactions reflected by the people around Jesus. They had just witnessed the power and the compassion of God on display in the resurrection of Lazarus from the dead. Each person had to make a choice: respond positively, and follow Jesus, acknowledging he is the son of God; or respond negatively, as the leaders of the time did... they began seriously plotting his death.
