The Sermon On The Mount: Investing

Phil Heller
What do you treasure most? Are you investing in things that will never rot, or be destroyed?

In this week's passage, we learn the importance of investing in God's kingdom versus focusing all of our energies on amassing wealth here on Earth. As with the other passages we have studied, God is MOST concerned with our heart, and our intent. Jesus points out that we cannot serve two masters--if God isn't at the heart of what we do (especially with our possessions) then we will end up as slaves to another master.
